More Bins for Plastic Packages and Fewer Rinki Eco-Points

Finland’s Packaging Recycling Rinki Ltd is expanding the possibilities for sorting plastic packages at eleven eco-points in Vaasa, Korsholm, Maalahti and Korsnäs. In the long run, the goal is to enable sorting of plastic packages at all of Rinki’s 1600 eco-points in Finland. The following Rinki eco-points will receive bins for plastic packages as of October 1st, 2024:

Rinki Closes Several Eco-Points

In connection with the above-mentioned changes, Rinki will also close 22 eco-points in Vaasa, Korsholm, Vörå, and Isokyrö due to low usage. Rinki is focusing its eco-points in areas where people already frequent, such as near grocery stores. Stormossen’s own eco-points are not affected by the changes. The following Rinki eco-points will close on September 30th, 2024:
