Waste Management During Christmas and New Year
The Christmas and New Year holidays bring changes to Stormossen’s waste collection, customer service, and waste reception station opening hours.
Here are some tips for holiday sorting. Remember, the type of waste you create is determined already in the store. Sustainable consumption saves both the environment and money.
Waste Collection
Due to the holidays during this year’s last weeks, waste collection will be adjusted so that bio and packaging waste emptyings will also take place over the weekends. We thank our customers for their cooperation and patience.
Questions regarding the collection of mixed waste (combustible waste) should be directed to the waste company you have contracted for the service.
Waste Reception Stations
- All waste reception stations will be closed on the red days during Christmas and New Year: December 24–26, January 1, and January 6.
- On December 23, waste reception stations in Kvevlax (Stormossen), Vaasa (Sammonkatu), Korsnäs, and Vähäkyrö will close exceptionally at 5 pm.
- On December 31, waste reception stations in Kvevlax (Stormossen), Vaasa (Sammonkatu), and Replot will close exceptionally at 5 pm.
- Self-service stations in Oravais, Vörå, Maxmo, Vikby, and Malax will be open as usual until 7 pm on December 23 and 31.
- The garden waste station in Vaasa closes on December 31 and opens again in May.
Customer Service
Stormossen’s customer service at Stormossen’s Kvevlax office will close at 1 pm on December 23 and will be closed on December 24–27, December 30–31, January 1, and January 6. However, assistance will still be available via the website chat, customer service email info@stormossen.fi, or phone 010 320 7600 on December 27 and December 30–31.
Stormossen’s logistic service is available by e-mail logistiikka@stormossen.fi or phone 010 320 7676 as usual during December 23, 27, 30 and 31.
