About the reception of hazardous waste
Hazardous waste is, as the name suggests, dangerous to humans or the environment, which is why sorting it is extremely important. In most cases, hazardous waste can be identified by the hazardous waste label. Our sorting guide can also help you identify them.
- We accept hazardous waste at all our waste reception centres except Minimossen. Large quantities should be brought to the Stormossen waste centre.
- Bring hazardous waste in its original packaging or label the packaging with what it contains. The packaging must be tightly closed and intact.
- Please avoid using large 200 litre oil drums for transport due to their large size. The staff at the recycling station will not lift heavy waste.
- We do not accept explosives. Any fireworks must be returned to the place of purchase, in case of doubt please contact the police. The police will accept ammunition, weapons and dangerous explosives.
- Asbestos must be carefully packaged separately from other waste and the packaging must be clearly marked as asbestos. We do not accept unpackaged asbestos. Batches of asbestos over 50 litres should be taken to Stormossen Waste Centre for weighing. Read more in the asbestos waste guide.
