Fees

Household waste is accepted without additional cost at Stormossen’s waste reception stations. You can visit the stations as often as you like, bringing up to one trailer load of waste per visit. Large volumes or heavy waste must always be taken to Stormossen’s waste reception station in Koivulahti.

Waste that is transported by skip or big trailer is brought to Stormossen’s waste center in Kvevlax and weighed at the scale. The waste treatment fees are approved by the Vaasa region’s waste committee. Treatment fees as of 1.1.2025 can be found on page 18-20 (in Finnish).

You can use the services of Stormossen’s waste reception stations even if you don’t live in Stormossen’s service area. Order a customer card via this link. Each visit costs €45 (incl. 25.5% VAT) per 2 m³ of waste.

Companies, societies and associations

Customer cards for companies must be used on each visit to the waste reception station. A new card costs €10,12 (incl. VAT). Please note, that the company can bring a maximum of 2 m³ waste/visit. Additional information about customer cards for companies can be found here. 

These waste types can be brought to Stormossen’s waste reception stations free of charge:

  • metal
  • cardboard
  • paper
  • plastic packages
  • electrical waste, equivalent to households (amount and quality)
  • accumulators
  • batteries
  • fluorescent lights

Other waste is invoiced at €35,85/visit + VAT. A maximum of 2 m³ waste per visit.

These waste types are invoiced according to price list:

  • Asbestos €26,13 + VAT/50 litres
  • Electrical waste (which does not correspond to households, such as freezers) 0,56 €/kg + VAT

Hazardous waste price list (in finnish). Hazardous waste from small businesses must be taken to the waste reception stations in Koivulahti or at Sammonkatu, where it can be weighed. This does not apply to agricultural businesses.

Elk slaughter waste is only accepted at Stormossen’s waste treatment centre.
