Stormossen appoints interim CEO

On Thursday, Stormossen’s board appointed CFO Susanna Finskas as the company’s interim CEO. She will hold the position during the recruitment process for a new CEO.

– We will begin recruiting a new CEO immediately. The goal is to fill the positionas soon as possible, says board chairman Ragnvald Blomfeldt.

After five years, Aimo Latvala chose to step down as CEO with immediate effect on 21 March 2025. The decision was made in mutual agreement with Stormossen’s board.
Stormossen is owned by the municipalities of Vaasa, Korsholm, Vörå, Malax, Korsnäs and Storkyro, and manages waste services in these areas.
Stormossen currently has 51 employees working in the departments of production, finance, customer service, logistics, development, environment and quality, production, and communications. In 2025, the company celebrates its 40th anniversary.
