Distribution of Biowaste Bags Centralized
Stormossen distributes paper biowaste bags to residents in its service area. The bags are used for sorting biowaste into biowaste bins. Paper bags are not needed in composts. The bags are also not intended for crafts or packaging, such as mailing goods.
Starting in 2025, the distribution of biowaste bags will be centralized. Residents in apartment buildings and row houses will also pick up their bags from distribution points in the future. Biowaste bag mailboxes at housing companies will be removed. The distribution at Vaasa City Library will also end.
Biowaste bags are distributed at the following locations:
- Stormossen’s waste reception stations (including self-service stations)
- Minimossen
- Vaasa Citizen Services (Teräksenkuja 1)
- Vähäkyrö Citizen Services
- Ekosoppi in Vaasa (Hovioikeudenpuistikko 20)
- Red Cross flea market in Vaasa
- Korsholm head library
- Sale Korsnäs
- Sale Tervajoki
- S-market Isokyrö
One bundle of biowaste bags lasts about six months when the bag is changed every 2–3 days. Please take only one bundle at a time to ensure that the bags are sufficient for everyone. You can also use windowless envelopes or an empty flour bag as a biowaste bag. A newspaper can be folded into a self-made bag. Paper bags for biowaste sorting are also sold at grocery stores.
