Mariia Kuts creates handmade, upcycled jewelry that combines artistic expression, individuality, and modern design. Each piece is carefully made by reworking and transforming existing materials into unique work of art. This allows customers to wear unique accessories that not only express their personality and style but also carry a story of transformation and sustainability.
The jewelry-making process begins with an idea, a sketch, or an artistic concept. Bubbling beneath the design is a commitment to sustainability, authenticity, creativity, and craftsmanship. In practice, each item is essentially a reinvention of something that already existed, given a new form and purpose. In fact, a large portion of the materials used in the jewelry are donations from Minimossen.
I wanted to create jewelry that feels personal and meaningful, rather than mass-produced. The idea of transformation – taking something old and giving it new life – has become a central part of my work.
Every piece of jewelry draws inspiration from nature, emotions, contemporary art, textures, colors, and everyday experiences. Above all, inspiration is sparked by working with recycled materials, as each object carries its own history and limitations that influence the final design.
