Minimossen was founded in 2019 from the idea that Stormossen, the regional waste management company, wanted to make better use of items that would otherwise end up as mixed waste. Stormossen recovers reusable goods from the waste stream and donates them to the entrepreneurs operating within Minimossen. Donations brought directly to Minimossen by customers also go to the entrepreneurs.
In Minimossen’s bright and welcoming retail space, these items are given a new life. Either sold as they are or repaired and improved by Minimossen’s skilled entrepreneurs.
In 2026, Minimossen is an important marketplace for the people of Vaasa when it comes to second-hand shopping and reuse. We want to inspire a more environmentally friendly lifestyle and create a place where it is enjoyable to visit and spend time. We believe it is essential to support more sustainable consumption and to give our customers opportunities to live responsibly.

Are you interested in sustainable entrepreneurship and reuse — or looking to expand an existing business with new opportunities? Right now, we are looking for reuse entrepreneurs in the areas of home textiles and rugs, as well as baby and children’s accessories.
As an entrepreneur at Minimossen, you rent a shop-in-shop space in the recycling mall in Isolahti, Vaasa. You receive donated items from Stormossen, repair, wash, and refurbish products for resale, and keep your sales area attractive, and welcoming. You’ll receive sales and marketing support from our experienced staff, who will also help you strengthen your brand. Minimossen’s team takes care of the day-to-day sales and marketing.
You enjoy flexible working hours, and the opportunity is well suited as a supplement to an existing business or as a part-time job. No major investments or previous experience are required to get started. A driving licence and access to a car are necessary.
